A one-year course covering the topics usually found in the first semester of Algebra I at the high school level. Students successfully passing Algebra IA will proceed into Algebra IB their next year. Algebra IA and Algebra IB together will count as two years of mathematics towards the three-year requirement for graduation, but will count as one year towards the required two years of advanced mathematics necessary for graduation.

- This course reviews and reteaches basic concepts that may be missing from students' mathematics toolboxes, making learning higher level concepts more difficult. This course prepares students to pass the California High School Exit Exam as well as to move on to Algebra IB and Geometry.

This course is a college-prep math course. It focuses on the symbols and graphical representation of simple and compound mathematical statements and their solution sets.

- This course is a “hands on” discovery approach to the traditional study of Geometry. The purpose of this course is to provide access to Geometry for students who might not be successful in a traditional Geometry course where much of the information is more abstract. In this class there will be significant time given to exploration so that students will have greater opportunity to solidify concepts.
Algebra II is a full-year study of algebraic, exponential and logarithmic functions, limits, sequences and their symbolic representations and graphs.

The Integrated Math course is designed as the third course in a three-year strand. It incorporates a visual and hands-on approach, real-life

applications, exploratory activities and projects, a use of technology, group work, and open-ended problem solving. It uses an

integrated approach to cover some of the topics found in Algebra I/II, Geometry, and Statistics courses. This course assumes a

mathematical ability beyond Algebra and Geometry. UC approval pending.
