A cross-curricular Social Science course that allows the student to discover the historical record through film and other similar media. Students will examine the major turning points in history through the art of filmmaking. Students will examine and analyze historical based films by utilizing enhanced critical thinking skills to determine bias and historical accuracy. Student will learn methods by which filmmakers modify storyline in order to enhance entertainment value. Students will reflect upon viewing and analysis by reflective writing, class discussion and public speaking assignments. Selected additional pertinent topics may be covered.
